We have heard your critical voices regarding fluoride, take them very seriously and would now like to comment on them and at the same time raise awareness.
Firstly, a distinction must be made between fluorine and fluoride. Fluorine is a highly reactive gas that forms bonds with other elements. As soon as such a bond is formed, it is no longer fluorine, but a fluoride. In our case, a bond has been formed with sodium and therefore FRESH tooth balm and FRESH baby tooth gel contain sodium fluoride. But what is sodium fluoride? Sodium fluoride is NOT a toxic gas, but a solid salt.
We are convinced of the positive effect of sodium fluoride in dental care products (in the correct dosage) and have therefore made a conscious decision to use it in FRESH tooth balm and FRESH baby tooth gel in an effective and also SAFE quantity. Care was also taken to achieve a harmonious composition and perfect coordination with the other ingredients.
Sodium fluoride remineralises and strengthens tooth enamel and effectively prevents tooth decay. As a result of daily food intake, the bacteria present in the oral cavity produce acids that attack the tooth enamel. However, sodium fluoride ensures, among other things, that the activity of these bacteria is reduced, which means that fewer acids can attack the tooth enamel. This makes the teeth more resistant.
In FRESH tooth balm and FRESH baby tooth gel, sodium fluoride is present in a concentration that is considered safe. An extremely large safety margin was taken into account. The natural fluoride content and its absorption through drinking water and food was also taken into account. The sodium fluoride we use is certified according to the COSMOS standard by Ecocert Greenlife. It is therefore expressly authorised for use in natural cosmetics.
As a life science company, scientific findings are very important to us. The effectiveness of sodium fluoride for healthy teeth has been scientifically proven and we always want to offer our partners and customers only the best of the best. If one of our ingredients poses even the slightest risk, we would never expose you to it!
FRESH tooth balm and FRESH baby tooth gel can therefore be used by you and your little treasures with a clear conscience, as there is no danger from the sodium fluoride they contain. Nevertheless, we naturally leave it up to each and every one of you to decide whether, in what form and to what extent you bring your body into contact with sodium fluoride.
To ensure that no questions remain unanswered, we have compiled your FAQs on FRESH baby tooth gel and FRESH tooth balm here.
